NEW STORY

Shadow of Death is a prequel to original HoMM 3 (the action takes place before the events from HoMM 3). The main protagonist is Sandro - Necromancer who comes up with a plan of conquering the whole continent (it is called Antagarich). In order to do that he has to collect some necessary combined artefacts. There are 4 heroes who are trying to stop him: Gem, Gelu, Yog and Crag Hack. They have to find an outstandingly powerful artefact - the Angelic Alliance and face the mighty necromancer

• 7 new campaigns (now you can set difficulty);
• 38 single scenarios;
• new "combined" artefacts;
• new terrain types;
• some petty changes (e.g. fifth slot for an artefact);
• you can play the Conflux only if you've got the Armageddon's Blade installed;
